Airedale Terrier Von Der Laubenhaid
We had an Airedale Terrier, a cross between a Dachshund and a Yorkshire Terrier when we first got to know the breed. This was one of the first Welps of the Laubenhaid, a wooded area in West Schwabachs. The dog was a joy to have and we enjoyed hiking in this area. However, we soon found out that the Laubenhaid was not a suitable home for this terrier.
The Airedale Terrier is an exceptionally large dog.
It is imponier-end, which gives it a unique look. In its earlier years, this breed served in the Boxer-Aufstand in China from 1899-1900. The Airedale Terrier also served in the Russian-Japanese War from 1904-1905. It was also used as a police dog and a border guard. It was also a water-hunting dog and apportierhund.
